Like physical strength, psychological strength is built over time, with increased endurance and baby steps. We will use a coactive coaching model, which means we will design a process together. To do so, you must come with an open mindset. Sure, we all have had our own trajectories and life experiences (the past) but we all can create life experiences (the present & future) based on what we want, what we need, and what we value. This is exciting! I will help you get clear about what you need, what you want, and what you value. I will help you identify and enable your strengths, clarify your vision, and set SMART© Goals in the direction of your dreams. We will use cutting edge research coming from the fascinating field of Positive Psychology. Unlike traditional psychology which focues on what’s wrong (the weakness) and how to fix it, we’ll focus on what’s already good (the strength) and how to build it. Even if you think nothing is good, we can figure out a way to alter that belief system and help you see the world with more abundance, more optimism, and with greater resilience. When people learn empirically validated tools to increase their well-being, including practicing gratitude (Emmons, 2007), using optimism as a psychological stragegy (Seligman, 2007), experiencing flow (Csikszentmihalyi, 1990), savoring (Bryant & Veroff, 2007) and using their signature strengths (Peterson & Seligman, 2004), individuals beneift, and the organizations they comprise too. |
